Salome Kick
Salome Kick
This is as close to regular rooibos as our range gets. Combined with honeybush as well and a little aniseed, which honestly you can’t really taste, but adds a hint of extra sweetness.
Honeybush tea, like rooibos, is South African and made from the leaves of the honeybush plant. Rooibos is grown in South Africa and specifically, is indigenous to the Cederberg Mountains in the Western Cape, three hours north of Cape Town. It flourishes in mountainous areas where there are periods of significant rainfall.
Honeybush is grown on the Eastern Cape of South Africa. The flowers of the honeybush shrub have a honey-like smell, which gives the plant and the tea its sweet-sounding name. It is sweeter and fuller-bodied than rooibos but the combination is balanced and is truly enhanced with that sprinkle of aniseed.
